The Nelsonville Water Department is working on a 10-inch water main leak on West Columbus Street. As part of the repair efforts workers will need to shut off one of the city’s water reservoirs. Nelsonville water system customers may experience low water pressure until the water main is repaired, and the water reservoir is reopened.
Please do not call the Nelsonville water office about this low water pressure. Thank you for your assistance and understanding.
The City of Nelsonville is happy to offer a two-tier water loss abatement program again this year to help customers in a water leak emergency. Up to $500.00 in water leak coverage for a $30.00 annual fee, or up to $1,000.00 in water leak coverage for a $50.00 annual fee.
The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for all customers on East Franklin Street and Fort Street from West Washington Street to East Franklin Street until 5:00PM, Wednesday, April 24, 2024.
The Nelsonville Water Department has issued a boil order for all customers on Short Street, Kontner Street, Mill Street and Poling Avenue until 12:00PM, Thursday, April 18, 2024. The boil order is due to water line leak repair.
The City of Nelsonville is working with the Rural Community Assistance Partnership (RCAP) to complete a water service line survey to meet an EPA mapping mandate. RCAP Staff will be visiting the City on March 25- 27 to complete work on this inventory.
