The City of Nelsonville Street Committee will be meeting on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at 6:30 pm to discuss the street sweeper schedule, pothole map and the five-year plan.

Tuesday, March 10th at 6:30 pm

The City of Nelsonville Utility Committee will be meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at 6:30 pm to discuss topics on new utility projects.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.


City Building Recycling Dumpsters Still Available

Recycling dumpsters next to the sewer plant will be removed this week due to construction taking place in that area. There has not been a definite date as to when they will be placed back at this site. For now, the recycling dumpsters are still available at the City Building. The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause the citizens who utilizes these dumpsters for recycling.


Tracing Gas Mains & Service Lines

Columbia Gas will be conducting GPS survey work in Nelsonville over the next month or two. A surveyor will trace the path of all gas mains and service lines up to the meter. They will record data using a GPS receiver mounted on a tripod. The surveyor will not need to enter homes or businesses. The data will help us provide better locating, maintenance and emergency response.

The Nelsonville City Council will hold a regular council meeting on Monday, March 9th, 2020 at 7:00 pm in council chambers at City Hall.
