The Nelsonville City Council will hold a council meeting on Monday, November 27th, 2017 at 7:00 pm in council chambers at City Hall.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

City of Nelsonville offices will be closed on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Offices will reopen on Monday, November 27th, 2017 for regular business.

Monday, November 13, 7 pm

The Nelsonville City Council will hold a council meeting on Monday, November 13th, 2017 at 7:00 pm in council chambers at City Hall.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend.


November 14, 18 & 21, 9 am - 4 pm

The City of Nelsonville will be holding a Fall Clean UP on November 14th, 18th and 21st, 2017, for Nelsonville City Residents only. No commercial trash will be accepted. There will be free dumpsters for trash drop off located at City Hall, 211 Lake Hope Drive, inside the fencing. The dumpsters will eb available from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the listed dates. Proof of residency is required.

If you cannot make it to City Hall, you can call the City Manager's office at 740.753.1314 to schedule a pick up at your residence.

The City will be taking everything BUT:

  • no tires
  • no batteries
  • no paint
  • no fuel tanks
  • no liquids
  • no hazardous materials
  • no fluorescent lights
  • no Freon or refrigerant
  • no electronics
  • no medical waste

Box springs, mattresses, carpet and upholstered furniture must be securely wrapped in plastic.

As a reminder, the City's contract with Rumpke allows up to 20 garbage bags each week for residents at no additional charge!! These are both great opportunities to get rid of any and all unwanted trash.
